Join CCJ for Our 5th Annual Free Kids Fishing Day
Center for Coalfield Justice, along with our friends at Buffalo Creek Watershed Association, invite you to join us for our 🐟 FREE Kids Fishing Day 🐟 at Dutch Fork Lake in Claysville!
This is a family-friendly event where we will be providing community members with bait 🪱, tackle, and a free fishing pole for kids! 🎣 And the best part? When they are finished with a fun day of casting a line, everyone gets to keep their pole! Are you and your kiddos beginners? No worries. We will have experienced staff available to help teach you the basics. Don’t have a PA fishing license? That’s alright! The whole family can still join in the fun because this event aligns with the PA Fish & Boat Commission’s Fish-for-Free Day, allowing anyone (resident or non-resident) to legally fish on Pennsylvania waterways.
As any experienced angler knows, a day of fishing can work up quite an appetite, so we will also be serving hot dogs & veggie dogs, alongside snacks and drinks. Please be sure to register all adults and children and let us know if you have any dietary needs. This helps us ensure we have enough supplies and food for everyone! 🌭
