Bring the whole family to Laurel Hill State Park for a fun day of outdoor recreation and education! Along with our education partners from the state park, AmeriCorps, PA Master Naturalists, and more, Mountain Watershed Association is excited to provide this free day of activities for our community!
10am-3pm: Paddle your hearts out with rentals from Hazelbaker’s
10am-1pm: Join us at the pavilion for free nature themed crafts and activities
1pm-3pm: Join our naturalists for a nature hike, with a stop at the nearby creek to search for critters. (Little legs get tired, so feel free to turn around whenever you like!)
All of our activities are located along the Copper Kettle Trail and in a pavilion by Laurel Hill Beach. At the pavilion, you can create some take-home eco-art, learn about watersheds, and play with bugs! Head down to the lake and take a canoe or kayak out for a paddle. Near the dam, you can cast a line out and try your hand at fishing for bluegill or bass. Or stroll down the trail and take a hike.
Stay all day, or just as long as you’d like! All activities are free!
Either pack a lunch, or plan to buy some food from the snack bar by the lake. Dress for the weather, and don’t forget your sunscreen and bug spray!
Registration will open soon!
